Contender sailcloth is a Dutch quality product. One of the many top products is Fibercon® yarn, this woven cloth has a very pleasant handling, is ideal for the demanding cruising sailor

How are sails designed?

Your sails are designed to your specific needs, with the corresponding cloth type, designed with Smar Azure and Pro Sail, market leaders in sail design.

Which fabric type (materials) are best suited for me?

You can see here the most material we use, but the laminate or dacron that will eventually be used depends on your personal choice.

We will only advise you on this. The sails of De Vries Maritiem are manufactured from only the best materials, supplied by two major sailcloth suppliers, Dimension Polyant being the main supplier and Contender mainly supplying the cloth for the light weather sails.
