"We're finally dry and we're sailing longer"

The Dutch weather sometimes just makes us feel quite cold on board. And that is a pity! Because despite the cold or rain, it is often wonderful to sail on. Robin has a beautiful sailing ship and wanted to sail longer in the season. He asked us to investigate the possibilities for an aft tent.

Measuring a tent on board

Our expert Dennis got in the car to Warns to look at the boat and explain the possibilities. Robin indicated that he found it important to be well dry, and to keep out as much cold as possible. Dennis took all the measurements and cut the first moulds.

Tent ready for installation in 1 week

Robin indicated that he would like to have the tent delivered extra fast. He was on a boat tour of Friesland during his vacation, and decided to stop by Zeilmakerij De Vries Maritiem. Here we were able to install the tent and make the final adjustments within 1 week.

New tent: season extended by 2 months

Of course we wanted to know if Robin had finally extended his season. And he certainly had! The new tent allowed him to sail much longer, and also allowed him to sit in the cockpit longer in the evenings. He was able to enjoy his boat almost 2 months longer that season! That's a fine result.
