It starts to itch for most sailors. Time to get the boat ready for sailing and do some last minute maintenance. Furthermore, we share our latest vacancies and read how the sailing boat Yndeleau and crew are doing after 1,5 years of travelling around the world (with our sails!).<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Ready to Sail Service: start the season without any hassle<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Are you not in a position to get your ship ready for sailing? Small cracks may have appeared last season or stitches may have become loose. We recognize the weak points and can stitch or reinforce them for you. In this way you can prevent further damage and you will not have any surprises during the sailing season.<br>Washing and coating sails also extends their life. The sails have to endure a lot, so it is advisable to have them cleaned regularly. We treat the sails with a special coating so that they are again optimally protected against all weather conditions and dirt.<br>&nbsp;<br>Sending sails by post<br>If you don't have time to deliver the tarpaulins yourself in Lemmer, you can send the tarpaulins up to 30kg (small folded) via PostNL. You work this out on the computer, cut canvas panels and together with the sewers and seamstresses you create a beautiful product. You will deliver products that you are proud of! Marten Pietersz De Vries settled in Lemmer in 1823, after he had spent years as a sailmaker on board a windjammer sailing around the world. We still have a great passion for world sailors, and love to help them with the best material and good advice. So it's not surprising that we are known as the sailmaker for sailors! And that's why we regularly put sailors in the spotlight. For this blog, we spoke with the crew of sailing boat Yndeleau, a 44-foot Van de Stadt.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sailing boat Yndeleau and her crew Jurre Witte and Suzanne Legtenberg have been on their world trip for 1.5 years now. The pandemic is causing the necessary challenges, but they are still underway.
