Cover and maindrop

Some sailors prefer a sail hatch and others prefer a maindrop system. Whatever your preference may be, at De Vries Maritiem you can rely on us for a good protection of your precious mainsail.

ZEILHUIK

A sail cover offers protection against weather, UV radiation and dirt. The standard material we use is Masacril or Sattler yacht canvas, very weather resistant, color fast and durable. We have a wide choice of colors.

For a perfect fit we prefer to measure the hood on board. Of course it is also possible to recreate a sail hood from your existing one, provided that the fit of the old hood is good.

Our hoods feature:

• A divisible zipper at the side or front of the mast (usually not at the front, lest it get in the way of any spi-boom)
• The mast collar closed by a Velcro closure.(Velcro)
• Plastic quick release buckles, like on a life jacket, at the bottom
• Loop on backside, to tension the sheet towards the end of the boom or crane line

• We use breathable material. This ensures that the sail can still breath out
• Choose a sail hatch with a long life!
• We only use high quality fabrics at a competitive price
